Bridie lives with her husband and two grown up children in the
scenic village of Belcoo, Co Fermanagh.
Always having a great interest in art, Bridie decided to join
an art class in the Technical College, Enniskillen in the 1980's
with Marie Prenter as her tutor. Since then she has not put the
brushes down, painting a variety of subjects including local scenic
surroundings, dogs, birds and wild life in oils or watercolours.
She uses various materials to paint on from canvas, wood and old
discarded slate. Over the years she has painted for friends and
family. Her works can be found in Ireland, England, America and
Denmark. Recently the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese was
presented with one of her paintings when she visited Belcoo. Bridie
regards painting as one of the most enjoyable and rewarding hobbies
one could have.
